Volunteer with the Hawaii Breastfeeding Coalition

There are many volunteer opportunities with the Hawaii Breastfeeding Coalition. Become a member of Hawaii Breastfeeding Coalition and join us in protecting, supporting, and promoting breastfeeding in Hawaii. Four work teams were created to address specific areas of concern, and we continue to welcome new members to lend their expertise.

Business - work with businesses to create accomodations for women who return to work and wish to continue to provide breastmilk for the infants.

Mother Support - create a statewide breastfeeding support warmline.

Legislative/Policy and Healthcare System - work with State on Baby Friendly Federal Grant Project and all maternity services hospitals in Hawaii.

Community Awareness - work on World Breastfeeding Week 2010/Just 10 Steps-The Baby Friendly Way and use of social media to advance HBC/Breastfeeding Promotion message in Hawaii.
